If Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman can do it then so can you!  Round the World – a great motorcycling adventure which many dream about, but few have ever achieved. Spend 16 weeks on the ultimate motorcycle journey, circumnavigating the globe and experiencing the highs and lows that inevitably come with such great endeavors.  From the cultured cities of Western Europe to the vast expanses of Mongolia, and the challenge of Siberia's “Road of Bones” - whether on your own bike, or one of Kudu's, adventures simply don't come any bigger.

Expedition Highlights

  • Day 1 – riding out of London on your fully loaded bike ready for 30,000 miles and 4 months of the biggest adventure of your life.
  • Evenings out in some of Western Europe's finest cities during your first week on RTW '09
  • Prague and the Czech Republic.  Stunning architecture amongst grey, Soviet era concrete blocks and lively restaurants and bars.
  • Crossing the border into Russia and finally sensing that the adventures are really about to begin!
  • Your first taste of tough traveling on the dirt tracks and plains of Kazakhstan.
  • Mongolia – a breathtaking, remote and unspoiled wilderness with warm and welcoming people.  Surely one of the great highlights of the whole adventure.
  • Siberia and Stalin's “Road of Bones”.  The ultimate challenge and a holy grail for the adventure motorcyclist.  You are going where few have gone before so be prepared - not for the faint hearted!
  • Alaska and Canada and their great open spaces, fantastic hotels and stunning roads.
  • Riding into New York on the last day of RTW '09 with a unique sense of pride and achievement that few will ever get to feel.

Pre-Expedition Training

We at Kudu take great pride in running thoroughly professional expeditions which are open to anyone with a desire to challenge themselves and what they are capable of.  You do not need to be a highly experienced motorcyclist, off-road expert or have a huge amount of adventurous travel experience.  With Kudu's unique pre-expedition and en-route training, all included in the price, you can begin the toughest challenge of your life well prepared for what lies ahead.

  • Meet the Kudu team and each other
  • Equipment familiarisation

Off Road training (2 days):

  • Dedicated off-road instruction and practice

Mechanics and first aid (1 Day):

Kudu's motorcycles


A limited number of Kudu motorcycles will be available for this expedition.  They will all be the  latest model BMW F650GS Dakars, fully kitted out for the expedition with aluminium panniers and other essential modifications.  They will also have a full and thorough pre-expedition service by our own very experienced mechanics, and you will get the added bonus of knowing that our expedition support vehicles will be kitted out with all the tools and spares to keep it on the road.  You will also get the option of purchasing your expedition ready bike from us.

Am I Suitable?

We at Kudu Expeditions pride ourselves on striving to make these amazing adventures accessible to all, irrespective of background or experience. We do this by talking to our customers, and making sure that they have a good understanding of what the expedition entails before they commit to it. We also run pre-trip training which is included in the price.
