The Bikes
You can ride either a Kudu bike or bring your own - the choice is yours. We at Kudu have a fleet of Yamaha XT660 Teneres, prepared and maintained by our own mechanics. Named after a remote and hostile region of the Sahara Desert, the Tenere has an enviable Dakar winning heritage. You will be riding long distances on both tar and trail, with some challenging sand thrown in too. The Yamaha is light enough, powerful enough, and robust enough to cope with it all, especially if you are an off-road novice. As far as we are concerned, the new Tenere is the only option for a diverse, challenging adventure of this nature. Limited numbers of lowered bikes are also available for those who request them.

Pre-Expedition Training and Orientation
We at Kudu take great pride in running thoroughly professional adventures which are open to anyone with a desire to challenge themselves and what they are capable of. You do not need to be a highly experienced motorcyclist, off-road expert or have a huge amount of adventurous travel experience. With Kudu's unique pre-expedition and en-route training, all included in the price, you can begin the toughest challenge of your life well prepared for what lies ahead.
